- It’s a masquerade! Have you ever heard of Phantom of the Opera? Well we’re not playing music from that, but we are going to be wearing some fantastic face masks. It’s a costume party AND everyone is safety.
- It’s outside. Did you know that you are likely Vitamin D deficient? I hate to break it to you, but you might as well be Vitamin Deficient! Not only will you get to hear us playing some heart-healing harms, but the sun will be shining some sweet, sweet vitamins all over your vitamin-starved skin the entire time.
- Junestone has been practicing. 😉 Not every improviser practices am I right? Luckily for you we didn’t know we were officially a jazz band until T.U. Jazz Fest hired us! So we’ve been working hard to make sure that what you’re about to see looks easy. Luckily Olivia doesn’t actually understand how jazz works either so you may love what you hear even if you only drink coffee and jazz is not exactly your cup of tea.
- We will be playing the Bong Song at 4:20. I mean, you should by no means be smoking with your masks on that’s just straight up dangerous, but what better way to celebrate your day off than entering a meditative musical trance via a custom luxurious arrangement of our own original song, The Bong Song?
- It’s not underwater. Imagine how hard it would be to attend a concert underwater! You could run out of air and confirming your tickets at the entrance would be almost impossible, forget about securing a seat. Since we will be playing above water, you’ll be able to hear an entire song start to finish without having to leave halfway through to take a breath.
- It’s a Monday. Why else would the government let you have a day off if not to check out some jazz music? And even if you’re not about listening to the government, why not be a rebel about your holiday and listen to something truly controversial, me playing jazz music. It’s very cool to be culture and let me tell you our culture is being cool so come on downnnn.
- We have hand-made buttons for sale in support of.. recording our beautiful songs this fall! Which brings me to the next awesome reason you should come hang:
- We are going to test out every song that we will be recording. Yes this is correct, we will be playing an entirely soon-to-be recorded album, start to finish. Love it.
- This is our first show as Junestone! It would be an astounding honour to have you there at this landmark event in our baby band’s life.
